For my birthday, I decided to go to a Psychic. I
wanted to go because I haven’t got a reading in years, and part of me wanted to
know if the messages would be the same as last time. Also, I just really wanted
to do something fun and up my alley for my birthday.
I drove over to a new local psychic shop, and when I
went in the setting was very light and welcoming. However, when the young psychic
began the reading is when everything became a tad not so good.
Now, I’m not addressing those who are truly versed in
their art. Psychics, tarot readers, mediums, and those who offer true valuable
services to aid others. That should be apparent.
But, when you study the tarot and palmistry, and watch
as someone who builds their business off of those talents proceed to butcher
the arts. I kind of have a bone to pick.
Before she even proceeded to begin, I told her I’d pay
for the full package: tarot card reading, palmistry reading, and psychic
reading. Then, when she decided to ask if I’ve done any of this before, I told
her the truth. I told her I studied palmistry and tarot, and that I’ve got a
reading before years ago.
Then, she proceeded to text on her cellphone once it
went off during our session, told me to hold my dominant hand open without
analyzing it, shuffled the tarot cards, and placed all 78 cards of the tarot
deck down on top of each other without the use of a spread.
I don’t care about the money, $100 is nothing for me
to worry about, especially since money is energy that will come back to you
when you drop resistance. But, when I
sit and think about the amount of hours, months, and years it took me to study
tarot or the time it takes me fuddling between my palmistry book, stretching my
hand to exhaustion, and how beautiful the art of these gifts I felt a silent
rage in me.
People like this taint the beauty of the spiritual,
and give those who dedicate their lives and time a bad name.
You hear and see it often.
Someone taking interest in the spiritual arts and
debating getting a reading, and then that one person says something along the
lines of “they just take your money, they don’t really see anything, they’re
fake, or they’re taking advantage of you”. Heck, you even see it on TV too.
It really pisses me off, especially since this woman
had a full blown store. I know so many people involved in the spiritual or
occult who would kill to have their own shop where they can spread their
message and heal the world.
However, it doesn’t do much to complain unless
solutions are present to combat the problem.
I recommend, when going to a reader of any kind, do a
little research. Research so you go in knowing what the person will be doing,
the process, what it is you will be getting done, and ask questions. Begin by
researching the place you will be going to, go onto Google, and check out the
reviews. If there are no reviews, then the store still might be new and
starting. Then, do some research on what service you will be getting done. If
palmistry, watch a little video on YouTube about certain lines, and what they
mean. If tarot reading, search the web for tarot spreads, and find out what the
major and minor arcana cards mean. When you go into the store, talk to the
person who will be reading you, and do some light conversation. Ask how long
they have been doing it for, ask them how they will lead you through the
process, and be observant and open to the experience.
Research before going to a psychic’s store, it will
pay off. That’s pretty much where I went wrong. I got so excited about one
positive review 20 minutes before going and neglected to see the other reviews
and overall ratings and comments.
Psychics and Readers provide a valuable service to
this world, they give us healing by connecting us to the other side or the unseen
so we can make valuable changes in our lives for progression. They are valuable
to the ascension process of this physical plane and the beings that inhabit it.
Their gifts are glorious and wonderful, sacred and powerful.
Ever heard of the Oracle of Delphi?
Yes, they are that level important in this world.
Thus, I consider their art sacred and special.
However, let’s be honest, there are people out there who take advantage of those seeking guidance and
put on the label to exploit for negative gain.
It is important that we raise up the true mystics so
they can shine their knowledge on those who need it, and that we steer clear of
those who are false.
Yet, it is important that we realize that not all
mystics are the same. They move and work in different ways, but it is evident,
just as I came to realize, that you can spot the fakes right away.
Research is power, use it and take it seriously before
visiting a Psychic or Reader. Really think it over, and do your due diligence.
Enjoy your readings!
